Company Policy1. The National Pardon Centre guarantees strict confidentiality of all clients who require discretionary procedures, irrespective of the details or extent of the criminal file. 2. Counselors are professionally trained to handle sensitive information. At no time will any employee of the National Pardon Centre make personal judgments about a client's previous behaviour or previous lifestyle regardless of the details of their criminal record. 3. Upon completion of all applications (including Pardon, Purge, File Destruction) the client's file information will be destroyed, including fingerprint and photograph duplicates and official court, police and RCMP database printouts. 4. Upon completion of all pardon applications the National Pardon Centre will remove all personal information from its Database and NPC terminals. 5. Our information technology infrastructure, including all data, is protected from unauthorized access through hardware, software and operating policies. All access to our data is carefully monitored. 6. The National Pardon Centre complies with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, the "Act"), formerly known as Bill C-6. 7. File activation payments ($200 Cdn.) are non-refundable. Furthermore, no refunds can be given on any file that has been registered with the National Pardon Centre for more than two months time. |
